I have been teaching on the CIPS Programme for the last 3 years or so. All in all, the experience has been good. The material, though challenging in parts, is very current and relevant to the prevailing Caribbean procurement context. The fact too,  that the participants are from various countries in the Caribbean, makes the learning interesting.

As a tutor, I have learned not only from the material but also from the personal experiences shared by the participants. As said by one of the past students, ” I am really happy that I got to do this course. To say I learned a lot would be an understatement “. Another student said ” I convey gratitude to all instructors and classmates, for the candid and exciting course sessions.”

Poor procurement practices are at the heart of many of the corruption cases in Caribbean society. Hence, any opportunity to raise the knowledge levels and the ethical standards of procurement professionals, must be welcomed. The CIPS training is one such opportunity and ought to be embraced.
